This antique log cabin would be a perfect conversational piece to encourage the younger generation to inquire of its historical descent. It would be appropriate for any hunting property, campground, lakeside or pond setting . . .OR, it would make an excellent scout cabin!
What we know:
- The approximately 38'x15' cabin with a 7'-17' porch was moved to its current location approximately 15 years ago by Hobbs House Moving
- The Seller believes this cabin was originally built between 1850 & 1865
- Newspapers currently line the walls for insulation
- Has a tin roof
- Has an attic but ladder is no longer present
- Any content seen in the pictures are not included in the sale of the log cabin
- Stones for the fireplace are included
- Can be moved as whole or disassembled
- Cabin is currently located off Nick Davis in Athens, Alabama

LOG CABIN MUST BE REMOVED FROM ITS CURRENT LOCATION ON OR BEFORE 4 WEEKS OF AUCTION DAY at the sole expense of the purchaser. Arrangements for moving the log cabin is the Buyer's sole responsibility. If additional time is required, Seller may be a little more flexible.
** Property is sold 'AS-IS, Where-Is' Condition, and SALE IS FINAL. Property is open to thorough public inspection on inspection date. THIS AUCTION FEATURES AN AUTO BID EXTEND
AUCTION END TIMES: Fowler Auction's Online Auctions are timed events and all bidding will close at specified time. Fowler's Online Auctions also have an auto extend feature. When a bid is placed in the final 3 minutes of bidding, the auction bidding will be automatically extended 3 minutes from the time the bid was placed (i.e., if an auction scheduled to close at 6:00 receives a bid at 5:59, the close time will automatically extend to 6:02. The auto extend feature remains active until no further bids are received within a 3 minute time frame.

A credit card is required to register to participate in this auction. Buyer has the option to pay with cash, check or credit card. However, if funds are not provided to Fowler Auction & Real Estate Service, Inc. within 24 hours of auction end time, the credit card used to register for this auction will be charged for the entire invoice total.

DEFAULT: If purchases are not settled by the specified closing/pick up day, it will be considered in default. Upon default the bidder will be black listed/blocked from bidding on Fowler Auction & Real Estate Service, Inc.'s auctions, as well as MarkNet Alliance auctions and may be charged 10% of bid price or $500, whichever is greater. All defaulted items may be offered to the next highest qualified bidder at the discretion of Fowler Auction & Real Estate Service, Inc.
Any dispute between Fowler Auction & Real Estate Service, Inc., its Agents or Representatives, and the Buyer(s) will be tried in a court of jurisdiction in Madison County, Alabama (or county designated by Fowler Auction).
